Winston-Salem, NC · In person across the Triad

AI consulting for Triad businesses. I find where AI fits, then build it.

Most AI consultants hand you a slide deck. I sit down with you in person, work out where AI actually pays off in your business, then build the working system and train your people on it.

Who this is for

Small to medium companies across the Triad

You already know AI matters and you do not want to fall behind. What you need is someone who can look at your operation, name the places it genuinely fits, and then build it.

Big enough to feel it

At 20 to 60 people, repetitive work is costing real money every week: quoting, scheduling, intake, paperwork, reporting. That is exactly where AI earns its keep.

Small enough to move

The owner can decide. No procurement process, no committee. Agree the milestones on a Tuesday and the build starts that week.

Close enough to visit

This is in-person work. I come to your office, look at your actual systems, and talk to the people who run them. That is how the real opportunities get found.

Where I work: Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Kernersville, Clemmons, Lewisville and Advance. Roughly 30 minutes of driving from Winston-Salem covers all of it.

How it works

In person, in plain English, in weeks

1

Sit down in person

I come to your office and you walk me through the business. Where the hours go, what gets retyped, what waits on one person. The first meeting costs nothing and carries no obligation.

2

Agree the milestones

You get a plain-English plan: what gets built, in what order, and what each stage delivers. Goalposts agreed before anything starts, so you always know what you are getting.

3

Build the working system

I build it, wire it into the tools you already run on, prove it on your real work, and train your people. You end up with software in daily use, not a report in a drawer.

What gets built

Working systems, not recommendations

Every business is different, so the build is different every time. These are the shapes that come up most, and one of them you can try right now.

AI Policy Generator

Public proof of how I work: a free tool that writes a workable AI policy for your company. No sign-up, runs in your browser, keep what it produces.

Meeting memory and company knowledge

Meetings, email and documents turned into a system that remembers. Ask what was decided and when, and get the answer with its source. New staff stop depending on the one person who knows.

Workflow automation

Quoting, scheduling, intake, follow-up, invoicing, reporting. The repetitive hours your staff lose every week, handled by a system that never skips a step, with people kept on the judgement calls.

Custom internal tools

For the process no off-the-shelf product ever fit. I build the tool around how your business actually runs instead of bending your business around software.

Start with a conversation at your office

Thirty minutes walking through how the business runs is usually enough to name the first thing worth building.

About

Adam Ridley, Human Compute

I am an engineer with 25+ years of experience, based in Winston-Salem. I have built and run production systems end to end: I have cut an enterprise cloud bill by more than 30%, tested a live disaster-recovery restore in 36 minutes, and I own the SOC 2 environment for an enterprise e-signature company.

I also ship my own products. Typort is an AI dictation and meeting tool I built solo; it is a member of NVIDIA's Inception program.

The story people ask about: I bought my Winston-Salem house using an AI agent system I built. It drafted the offers on the official NC form, negotiated by text message, and put the loan packet together.

FAQ

Questions owners ask

Do you work on-site?

Yes. I am based in Winston-Salem and I come to you. Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High Point, Kernersville, Clemmons, Lewisville and Advance are all inside my normal range, roughly 30 minutes of driving. Most of the work happens in your office, looking at your actual systems with the people who use them.

What size company is this for?

It fits best at 20 to 60 people. That is big enough for repetitive work to be costing real money, and small enough that the owner can make a decision without a committee. Outside that range can still work, so ask.

What happens in the first meeting?

You walk me through how the business runs and I ask where the hours go: quoting, scheduling, intake, paperwork, follow-up, reporting. By the end you have a plain-English list of where AI genuinely fits your business and what I would build first. No obligation past that meeting.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You need to know your own business, and that is it. Everything gets explained in plain English, the systems I build plug into the tools your people already use, and I train them on whatever I hand over.

What does it cost?

It depends on scope, and I bill for the time the work takes. The work is planned as weekly milestones, so you always know what the next stage is meant to deliver, and you can stop at any point. No long contracts and no lock-in.

How fast do I see something working?

Weeks, not months. The first working system is usually in front of you inside the first few weeks, then it grows in agreed steps. I build things you can see and use early, because that is how you know it is real.

See where AI fits your business

The first meeting is in person, at your place, and costs nothing. If nothing worth building turns up, you will know that too, and it will have cost you half an hour.
